We are proud to announce that Sally’s Pipe Dream has been named the South West Regional Winner in the first ever Plumber Awards. This accolade is a significant milestone for us, as it recognises outstanding workmanship, professional standards, and the level of care we provide to our customers every day.
The Plumber Awards were established to shine a spotlight on the vital work tradespeople perform across the UK. Managed by the same team behind the long-running Heating Installer Awards, these awards celebrate those who go above and beyond to deliver exceptional service and technical excellence.
A Rigorous Judging Process
Being named a regional winner is the result of a demanding selection process. Entries were reviewed by a panel of industry experts, professional associations and highly experienced plumbers. The judges noted that the standard of entries in this inaugural year was incredibly high, making the selection of regional winners a difficult task.
For us, winning the South West category is a testament to our commitment to doing the job right. It validates our approach of being transparent with our customers, maintaining a clean workspace and ensuring that every plumbing solution we install is built to last.
The Quest for the National Title
As a regional winner, Sally King is now one of a small group of finalists competing for the national title of the UK’s best plumber. This next stage involves two distinct challenges designed to test both technical skill and professional reputation.
- The CIPHE Technical Challenge: All regional winners must complete a technical assessment set by the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering. This ensures that the eventual national winner possesses the high-level problem-solving skills and technical knowledge required at the top of the profession.
- The Public Vote: Our customers and the general public also have a say in who deserves the national crown, allowing those who have experienced our service firsthand to show their support.
The final results will be announced on stage at the InstallerSHOW 2026, held at the NEC in Birmingham this June.
Raising Industry Standards
Accreditations and awards like these are important because they help to raise the bar for the entire plumbing industry. As Jerry Whiteley, technical manager at the CIPHE, noted during the judging, these awards provide well-deserved recognition for tradespeople who are dedicated to setting a fantastic example for the profession.
We are incredibly grateful to our customers in the South West for their continued support, which has allowed us to grow and achieve this level of recognition.
