Terms & conditions of service

Becky Gregg Electrics

Introduction and acceptance

These Terms and Conditions of Service (“T&Cs”) govern the provision of all plumbing, heating, and related services by Sally’s Pipe Dream (“the Company,” “we,” “us”) to you (“the Client”). By requesting a quotation, booking a service, or allowing the Company to commence work, the Client agrees to be bound by these T&Cs.

Definitions

  • Company: Sally’s Pipe Dream.
  • Client: The person or entity requesting the work.
  • Work: The plumbing, heating, or related services to be carried out.
  • Quotation: A fixed price offer for specified work, valid for one calendar month from the date of issue.
  • Estimate: An approximate guide price which may be subject to change depending on conditions encountered.

Quotations and estimates

a. Quotations: Once accepted by the Client, the price in a Quotation will not be varied unless the Client requests additional work, or unforeseen circumstances arise that were not reasonably detectable prior to the commencement of the Work.

b. Estimates: The Company is not bound by an Estimate. The final price may be higher or lower than the Estimate. The Company will endeavour to notify the Client if the cost is likely to exceed the Estimate by more than 10%.

Pricing and payment terms

a. Invoicing: An invoice will be issued upon completion of the Work.

b. Payment due: Payment is due immediately upon presentation of the invoice.

c. Payment methods: We accept payment via Bank Transfer, Credit/Debit Card, or Cash.

d. Hourly rate & call-out: For services charged at an hourly rate, the minimum charge is equivalent to the first hour. This minimum charge is payable even if the Client cancels the Work after arrival or if the fault is diagnosed but the repair is not authorised.

e. Late payment: The Company reserves the right to charge interest on overdue invoices at a rate of 8% above the Bank of England base rate from the date payment was due.

Cancellation and access

a. Cancellation by client: If the Client cancels a booked appointment with less than 24 hours notice, the Company reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee equivalent to half the quoted charge, as costs will have already been incurred.

b. Access: The Client must ensure that the Company is provided with safe, unobstructed access to the property and the area where the Work is to be carried out. Failure to provide adequate access will result in an aborted visit charge equivalent to the quoted charge.

Warranty and guarantee

a. Workmanship guarantee: The Company guarantees all workmanship for a period of 28 days from the date of completion. This guarantee covers labour carried out under the original Work and does not extend to faults caused by client misuse or pre-existing conditions.

b. Parts and materials: All parts and materials supplied by the Company are covered by the respective manufacturer’s warranty. The Company will assist the Client in making a claim but is not liable for the failure of materials under warranty.

Limitation of liability

a. Pre-existing conditions: The Company is not liable for any damage to existing plumbing or heating systems due to pre-existing defects, corrosion, or inadequate materials that were not apparent at the time of the Work.

b. Consequential damage: The Company shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage, including loss of profit or property damage resulting from system failure after the completion of the Work, except where caused by negligence on the part of the Company.

Governing law

These T&Cs shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
