Our pricing structure explained
We utilise a simple, competitive rate structure designed to offer the best value for both small repairs and larger installations.
Hourly rate (small repairs & diagnosis)
Most general plumbing and heating repairs are charged based on time, with a minimum charge equivalent to the first hour. This covers the time taken to diagnose the fault, and complete the repair. We don’t charge for traveling to your home.
- Minimum charge (Covers first hour): £80 Exclusive of VAT
- Subsequent time: Charged in half-hour increments at £40 Exclusive of VAT
Note: We do not charge a separate call-out fee or hidden travel costs within our primary service areas (Swindon, Reading, Newbury). The minimum charge is the only charge for the first hour of attendance.
Fixed price jobs
For many common, simple repairs, this is priced per hour plus parts. We can offer a fixed price either over the phone or upon initial diagnosis for quoted work. This provides you with complete certainty of the cost upfront, regardless of the time taken.
Examples of fixed price services include:
- Replacement of standard WC syphon/inlet valve.
- Replacement of a single, non-mixer tap unit.
- Replacement of a standard central heating pump.
- Installation of an outside garden tap.
- Annual G3 Unvented Cylinder Inspection.
Quotation for installations & larger works
For larger, complex jobs, such as full bathroom refits, new cold water storage tank installations, or extensive pipework alterations, we will always provide a detailed, written quotation following an on-site visit.
- Quotations are free of charge and include all labour, materials, and VAT.
- The quoted price is the final price unless there are any unforeseen circumstances, for example, a rotten floor once the bath has been removed. In such circumstances, these issues will be discussed with you prior to continuing with work.
Payment information
We accept payment immediately upon completion of the work.
- Accepted methods: Bank Transfer, Credit/Debit Card, or Cash.
- Invoicing: A detailed invoice confirming the work carried out, time spent, and parts used will be issued electronically or manually upon payment.
